Check out Lupe Fiasco (aka Wasalu Muhammad Jaco) and let us know what you think about his studio album, Lupe Fiasco's Food & Liquor. Fiasco is also involved with FNF Radio and he put out the single CD for Kick Push.
I posted Lupe Fiasco’s Enemy of the State mixcassette the other day, but it looks like the links have since been deleted. I won’t replenish the links because I don’t know why they were deleted, so if you want the tape, a Google search will do you a world of good. I did, however, want to share one specific track from Enemy . On the smartest track on the project, Lupe Fiasco wraps himself in a hot as fire Radiohead sample. Sampling Radiohead in hip hop isn’t anything new, per se, but it’s... Read Full Story

The Lupe Fiasco freestyles that have been leaking lately are straight dope. His flows on each sound different than what were used too. They almost sound like he’s trying to take the simple flows that are popular right now and stuff them with fresh lyrics which, in my opinion, is a dangerous combination. He’s saying things on the record which are so potent yet so much fun to listen too. Him and Jay Electronica need to do a joint album together on some Talib Kweli and Mos Def shit. How fresh... Even though its cold, rainy, and over all pretty sh*tty here in B-more coming across this joint right here put a smile on my face. Some of you may have already been aware that this was on the upcoming "Twilight: New Moon" soundtrack but I apologize, I had no clue (sorry not a Twilight follower). The track is bananas. Here's what Lupe had to say about "Solar Midnite" via a blog entry on his MySpace page : "Solar Midnite" is my first commercial release that I actually produced as well as wrote... Read Full Story
Another classic cut from hip-hop MC Lupe Fiasco? “Fire” is hottttt, that’s a fact. Is Fiasco’s new track just as sizzilin’ (yeah, I just used that word) as its title? Debatable topic for sure. It’s clear why many Lupe fans love this song, while it’s also obvious that the track has flaws making it short of praise.
He fuses Hendrix sample sounds, which tend to be a bit messy throughout, with his signature flow. The rap seems to be a bit dull, not bad, just not as flawless as we have heard... Read Full Story
You know what Lupe, get over your industry woes and drop a f'in album! I mean I get so siked to hear "new releases" from you appear on the blogosphere I wish I had a album or mixtape or barbershop quartet to look out for, or something. And I digress. haha. The beat on this joint isn't something I would expect Lupe to rock over but hey, the sh*t is dope nonetheless. Remember where you heard it first. Or second, it doesn't matter just as long as you remember us. Yuup! Download: Lupe Fiasco... Read Full Story
