This Wikizine is for credible information about the Mormon Church, and our beliefs, practices, doctrines and history. This is not an apologist ezine, not scholarly, nor expert...

But unusually, credible nonetheless. LOL

My goal here, as an active member of the LDS Church, is to share with you, what being a Mormon means - to Mormons.

NOT what those who are not Mormon, or have been but are not any longer... because that is just not going to really help you to understand Mormonism. Think about it?

Well Bill McKeever is still a big ol ' liar. Out of all the Mormon-Haters out there, I have the least amount of respect for Bill McKeever . Out of all the Mormon-Haters out there, Bill McKeever is the most dishonest. Every time he talks about church history he is either twisting the truth, or just flat-out lying. Here is a perfect example: On his web page he mentions 8 "Mormon Myths" that real Christians need to be aware of. Myth Number 8 is: Myth #8: Joseph Smith died as a "lamb led to the slaughter." He really put the quotes in there, as ... Read Full Story

Well I read another person's profile and realized it was time to finally tackle the most hateful group of Mormon Haters there is, The Ex-Mormon. The following is a sample of her profile: "Question : Have you ever seen a happy exmo ?? Neither have I. Most are truly miserable. Here is where I actually feel sorry for them. They have literally either 1. Fell into sin, then pride, refuse to repent, then go inactive, leave the Church and soon hate the Church, but can't leave it alone.2. Get offended, a little sensitive to sister or brother so and so, start murmuring and complaining, ... Read Full Story

OK, it's time to talk about a particularly vile group of Mormon-Haters out there, here on this blog they will be referred to simply as The Lifetime Mormon-Haters. There is a group of Mormon-Haters out there on the Internet that claim "the Mormons" will do things like "trap them" and "stalk them" and "harass them" and "spy on them" and even "steal their children." Steve Benson talked about this when he wrote his "Why I left the Mormon Church" diatribe. He wrote about "the Mormon KGB" bugging peoples telephone conversations: "Many have been the subject of secret files kept by shadowy church committees; some ... Read Full Story

Dear Friends,We greatly need your help -- and hope you will forward this e-mail to as many people as you can, or to any of your group e-mailing lists. If any of you attended the Easter Pageant this year, particularly this past Thursday or Saturday nights, you are aware that the protestors' interference with the Pageant performances was extremely disruptive and disturbing, not only because of the constant shouting throughout the Pageant, but especially because of the many vulgar things that were yelled continually -- and with thousands of children present. This is a free event to the public, and as taxpayers, we should ... Read Full Story

Short answer: Not a chance. For years now many Mormon Haters have tried to use the "Solomon Spaulding Theory" to explain away the Book of Mormon. The Spaulding Theory started when a Mormon Hater named Philastus Hurlbut began trying to dig up dirt on Joseph Smith. In 1834, Hurlbut found a few people in Coneaut , Ohio, who claimed the Book of Mormon resembled a book written 20 years earlier by a man named Solomon Spaulding . Some of the witnesses even reported remembering names like Nephi and Zarahemla . Hurlbut traced down Spaulding's widow and eventually found a book written by Spaulding titled ... Read Full Story

I was raised mormon, until I was about 13. Where I live, mormonism is the dominant religion, and people treat you differently when they know you aren't. It gets frustrating stometimes, and I really want to move because of it. It doesn't seem right...

The Salt Lake City government sold a plaza to the Mormon Church, leading to a lawsuit that alleged the sale to be a sham, giving the church power to limit free speech in a place that should have remained open to the public. This wasn't the first time when Utah state government acted on apparent favoritism to the Mormon Church and Mormonism -- but is it something that happens too often? In another recent case, the Church of Jesus Christ of...
