But unusually, credible nonetheless. LOL

My goal here, as an active member of the LDS Church, is to share with you, what being a Mormon means - to Mormons.

NOT what those who are not Mormon, or have been but are not any longer... because that is just not going to really help you to understand Mormonism. Think about it?

Mormonism "Research" Ministry - Bill McKeever

Well Bill McKeever is still a big ol' liar. Out of all the Mormon-Haters out there, I have the least amount of respect for Bill McKeever. Out of all the Mormon-Haters out there, Bill McKeever is the most dishonest. Every time he talks about church history he is either twisting the truth, or just flat-out lying. Here is a perfect example:

On his web page he mentions 8 "Mormon Myths" that real Christians need to be aware of.

Myth Number 8 is:

Myth #8: Joseph Smith died as a "lamb led to the slaughter."

He really put the quotes in there, as if "Mormons" use the phrase "lamb led to the slaughter" all the time when describing Joseph Smith's death. Why are there quotes there Bill? You claim this is a "Mormon Myth" so Mormons must be saying this all the time, right?

He then described how Joseph Smith died in a "gun battle." Yes, he really called it a "gun battle." In theory it was a gun battle I suppose, It was 200 men with rifles against 4 guys with one pistol. So in theory "gun battle" was only a serious twist of the truth rather than a flat-out lie, but a Mormon Myth that "Joseph Smith died as a lamb led to the slaughter?" Joseph used a phrase similar to this once before he died, but a "Mormon Myth?"

Billie McKeever absolutely loves throwing fuel on the Mormons-worship-Joseph-Smith fire, and he obviously couldn't resist the temptation to put that Messianic "quote" in there. I Googled several relevant phrases, but couldn't find a single Mormon who believes Joseph Smith "died as a lamb led to the slaughter," not one. Not much of a myth there Bill.

This is what an honest person would have written Bill:

"Myth #8: Joseph Smith died unarmed."

A recent LDS movie did not show a gun in his hand when he was murdered. The absence of the pistol obviously threw Billie into a hissy-fit which caused him to make up this "Mormon Myth" about Mormons worshipping a 19th century gunfighter. Let's face it, "Joseph Smith died unarmed" just doesn't sound that deceitful. But "Joseph Smith died as a 'lamb led to the slaughter'" now that sounds devious and blasphemous!

You're a weenie Bill.
