One of the best games ever and part 4 deservingly has its theme song done by LArcenCiel (laruku) , one of my favourite J-Rock bands too. *smiles*So here’s the FAQ as said to help you through the game ASAP as you can. Info source (secret)

Most useful ability : Charge, get this as soon as possible as you can. You can run faster, what else can we say?
2nd useful ability : Double Jump, not essential for any missions, just good for evading attacks, especially bosses.

As NERO:

(1) The most reliable weapon you can use is your Gun, upgraded to the MAX. It shoots bullets at the enemy and explodes after that, causing an INSANE AMOUNT OF DAMAGE. With this weapon, you will BREEZE through almost all the BOSSES without getting a hit on your side. Most pro the best advice you can ever get if you are new to using NERO. Just store the gun to till it turns red and shoot, no aiming required. with this, you should NEVER ever need to use your sword against almost any enemy whatsoever again.

(2) After you have upgraded your guns, there’s almost nothing else worth upgrading, really. If you want, just upgrade your Devil Bringer, it increases the range of the grab by abit, shaves time off your score. if you want stylish points, just keep using the grab. B button.

As Dante:
(1) Just upgrade your first sword attack to the 2nd level so you can just press RB + Forward + Y rapidly, almost any enemy will just perish after a few attacks. As you are still moving, the other enemies can’t really attack you that accurately.

(2) Upgrade your shotgun to 1 level up (min), the other guns just aren’t no good. Yup. Just mix your attacks with the Shotgun and charging sword attack. You will get hit more often than NERO as it’s close combat, NERO can stand WAY FAR from any enemy and shoot, Dante’s long range attacks doesn’t work that well.

(3) For style, there’s really just one obvious choice. Sword Master to the max, those 3 waves of sonic attacks and charging dance attack makes things so cool!

Yup, that’s pretty much all the advice needed to win the game. Here’s some areas you might be stuck at.

(1) At the lost forest, for NERO, the combination is UP, RIGHT, LEFT. For Dante, it’s UP and go back one screen immediately, then Right Twice. (not sure if this changes, just try)

(2) Lost in mining area 2 two? Just look at the map while jumping on the 2 red circles, while jumping on the 2nd circle, pull the direction button towards yourself facing the tv set. yup, that’s the way out if you can remember, which most can’t anyway.

(3) For the fight against the big statue using Dante, just use your shotgun and shoot the blue jewels on the statue till it breaks about twice (for some parts), most just once. just keep jumping again the blue spot and you can find those circles with blue jewels around which you need to hit to activate the laser to stun the hand. Easy but LONG fight. Ignore the small fries. need to replenish your life? Just get captured by the flowers that come out of the ground for some easy targets which gives off green orbs to refresh your life.

(3) Last Boss, using NERO, guns don’t work well here, so just RB Grab towards the guy in white and slash away using Y in mid air, after a few attacks, the shield will break and he will fly around, hit him some more and he will fall to the ground, give him a 2 or 3 slashes then Grab him to deal great damage. When the final boss’s life is almost gone, it will get a bit harder to attack him after his shield is broken, easy does it, just whack him with your sword right after he appears before he recharges in red.
