Miles Austin caught a touchdown pass for the third straight game and Patrick Crayton returned a punt for a score for the second consecutive week, sending Dallas past the Seattle Seahawks 38-17 and into a share of first place in the NFC East on Sunday.  

The Seattle Seahawks have strung together back-to-back wins for the first time in 2009 following Sunday's 20-17 decision over fellow NFC West member San Francisco, an encouraging sign of progress for a team that endured its share of struggles over the first half of this season under new head coach Jim Mora.

Seattle Seahawks wide receiver T.J. Houshmandzadeh is missing practice Tuesday to attend the funeral of former Cincinnati Bengals teammate Chris Henry. Seattle coach Jim Mora said Monday that Houshmandzadeh was on his way to Louisiana to attend the service and would return Tuesday night. Mora says Houshmandzadeh "was almost like a big brother" to Henry.  

T.J. Houshmandzadeh finished practicing -- then sighed. "Long day," the Seahawks' top wide receiver said. "Long 24 hours." Houshmandzadeh returned to his team a couple of hours before practice Wednesday morning, after a boomerang trip to Louisiana to attend Tuesday's funeral of former Cincinnati Bengals teammate Chris Henry.  

Seahawks long snapper Kevin Houser is hoping to be out of the hospital in time for Christmas Eve after doctors re-inflated his collapsed lung.
