She has appeared in the films "The Hand That Rocks the Cradle" and "A Cinderella Story." Zima also portrays the character Mia Lewis on the television series "Californication." Madeline Rose Zima was born on 16 September 1985 in New Haven, Connecticut, to Dennis and Maria Zima. Sisters Vanessa (born 1986) and Yvonne (born 1989) were born after the family moved to Phillipsburg, New Jersey, with the family eventually settling in Los Angeles, California, where all three sisters began acting as children. After receiving modeling jobs and spots in various television commercials, Madeline made her big screen debut in the commercial success The Hand That Rocks the Cradle in 1992 and joined the cast of the Fran Drescher sitcom The Nanny the following year. The Nanny ran for six seasons on CBS. After it left the air in 1999, Miss Zima went to star in such television movies as Lethal Vows (1999), The Sandy Bottoms Orchestra (2000) and Lucy (2003), where she played a teenage Lucielle Ball. In addition, she has been cast in numerous feature films, including A Cinderella Story (2004), Dimples (2006), Looking for Sunday (2006), Once in a Very Blue Moon (2007) and Legacy (2007).
Miss Zima is single and lives in Los Angeles, California.
