Dawnell’s birthday went fine. Shane got her a game for her Nintendo DS and I will be taking her to a nice dinner tonight at the Melting Pot. Hopefully she will enjoy it, she has talked about going there since I met her.

Sunday was very hot and humid. I tried to do some yard work before going to work but I got soaked after 2 minutes outside. I will have to try again today before it warms up out. I need to finish the rocks for the pond.

Dawnell gots J’s old room taped off and ready for painting yesterday so we will probably paint on my days off.

GEORGE AND LAURA TO DIVORCE?

Thats what Pravda (Truth) says.

Many tabloids have been flooded with rumors of George W. Bush’s family misfortunes recently. The latest gossip is about George and Laura Bush to divorce after November elections.

Italy’s La Repubblica newspaper wrote with reference to The National Examiner tabloid that George and Laura Bush were planning a divorce after the presidential election in the USA.

According to the supermarket tabloid, George and Laura Bush hardly ever speak to each other. George feels very unhappy and does not want Laura to leave him. However, the newspaper wrote, Laura is tired of everything; she is determined to live her own life.

The tabloid dwells upon the reasons which could lead to the possible divorce. The newspaper believes that George . W. Bush has been having an affair with US Secretary of State, Condoleezza Rice. A former employee of the presidential administration told The National Examiner that Laura Bush once spent her night in a hotel to stay away from the White House.

BROWN DEMANDS ISRAEL STOP BUILDING

British Prime Minister Gordon Brown demanded Sunday that Israel cease settlement construction and promised more money to jump-start the battered Palestinian economy.

In his first trip to Israel and the Palestinian territories as Britain’s leader, Brown repeatedly stressed that economics are key to Mideast peace and said Israel should ease travel restrictions in the West Bank that have hindered commerce.

But his strongest comments were reserved for the settlements: “I think the whole European Union is very clear on this matter: We want to see a freeze on settlements.

“Settlement expansion has made peace harder to achieve. It erodes trust; it heightens Palestinian suffering; it makes the compromises Israel needs to make for peace more difficult,” Brown said at a news conference with Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas in the West Bank town of Bethlehem.

Abbas went further in his criticism of Israel’s construction in disputed east Jerusalem and the adjacent West Bank, telling Brown that Israel lacks commitment to the “principles and spirit” of Mideast peace efforts. He singled out stepped-up construction of homes for Jews in areas of Jerusalem the Palestinians claim for their capital.

**** Its about time a western nations leader told them to stop, too bad they won’t listen.****

NEAT STUFF

Blessed are the boxer shorts.

Members of the St. James United Church of Christ in Michigan plan to take 150 boxer shorts to the altar Sunday for a blessing. The shorts have been modified for wounded veterans who wear bulky prosthetics or braces on their legs.

About 15 women at St. James replaced the shorts’ side seams with a fabric fastener for easy access.

Volunteer Kris Dombrowski says: “If you have the need for special pants, you have the need for special boxer shorts.”

The boxers will go to an Ohio distribution center of Sew Much Comfort, a national volunteer group that adapts clothing for wounded troops.
