The Scranton/Wilkes-Barre Yankees won a close scoring game over the Richmond Braves by a score of 4-3. Starting for the Scranton was Alfredo Aceves and he gave up 2 earned runs on 3 hits in 3 innings of work for the no decision. Replacing Aceves to start the 4rth inning was Steven White and he pitched 3 scoreless innings giving up 1 hit. Following White to start the 7th inning was J.B. Cox and he pitched a perfect inning striking out 2 for the win. Brian Bruney pitched the 8th inning and gave up 1 run but it was unearned because of a throwing error by catcher Chris Stewart.
