I loved baseball when I was a kid but I stopped following the sport 25 years ago as it totally bores me and I hate all the phony show biz curtain call BS. Having said that, I’ve never seen a complete no hitter or someone steal home till this year thanks to the internet. The above picture is Stealing Home Old School by Ty Cobb! Actually when I was a kid I remember watching Jim Bunning pitch against the New York Mets on Father’s Day June 21 1964 on TV and like an idiot went out after the 5th inning to go to an amusement park never thinking he’d pitch a perfect game on Father’s Day. As much as baseball bores me, I have to admit that solo steals of home plate are totally exciting though I don’t quite understand the logic of stealing home other than giving your team a sudden spark. After all a run is a run and a three point shot is worth more than a dunk- whoops wrong sport!
