A portal about baseball manager Ned Yost and the Milwaukee Brewers.
Milwaukee Brewers - World Champs?

Week 1 is on the books and the Milwaukee Brewers look like one of the teams to beat in the National League.
A mixture of situational hitting, speed and power makes the Brewers’ lineup as potent as any. A solid mix of veterans in the bullpen have been more than adequate (except for Eric Gagne in the opener) to back up a deep starting rotation
that will only get deeper when Yovani Gallardo returns from an injury later this month.
Granted, there are 156 games left in the season, but after a 5-1 start, the Brewers are looking good.
I got the chance to take in Sunday’s game at Miller Park and didn’t leave disappointed.
Ben Sheets was filthy, striking out the side on just 11 pitches in the first inning. Manager Ned Yost said after the game that he knew Sheets was on right away when he was hitting the mid- to upper-90s on the radar gun.
Sheets didn’t disappoint, finishing with eight strikeouts in picking up his second career shutout. He’s yet to give up a run and has allowed only nine baserunners in 15 2/3 innings.
No one questioned the potential for the Brewers to match last season’s offensive output, and things are off to a good start there as well.
Ryan Braun found his power over the weekend, knocking out towering home runs Saturday and Sunday. He also just missed a second Sunday, which everyone in the ballpark thought was gone when he hit it.
