A place to follow and predict March Madness upsets. The NCAA men's basketball tourney is filled with drama and smack talk for a reason...

Out of nowhere, a screw up, miracle shot, injury, or just plain bad joo-joo can rock the brackets wide open.

Got a prediction for 2008? Afraid that Oral Roberts and Portland State are already out of the running for miracle upsets, but we'll still get at least a few surprises along the way.

Tampa gave us some major March Madness upsets in the first round. Can these 12 and higher seeds continue? How far will Davidson go?

What a way to cap off the regular season as Northwestern (8-4, 5-3) pulled off the upset over previously No. 16 Wisconsin (8-3, 5-3) by a final score of 33-31 . NU posted an impressive offensive showing in the first half and came up with two huge takeaways in the last two minutes of the game. The Wildcats started off the game with a bang by winning the toss, electing to receive, then marching down the field in 10 plays, capping it off with a...

RICHMOND, Va. | When Jeff Capel left Virginia Commonwealth to become the head coach at Oklahoma four years ago, his contract mandated that he bring his new team back to Richmond to play the Rams. Capel received a very warm welcome Saturday night, and then the Rams showed him that things are just fine without him.

Both were lower seeds, but both teams liked their chances. Sheldon and Burbank high schools posted opening-night upsets in the Sac-Joaquin Section Division I field. Upsets, that is, if you base it strictly on seeding. No. 11 seeded Sheldon, hard hit by injuries, rallied to beat No. 6 Oak Ridge in El Dorado Hills 20-17. Burbank, seeded 12th yet feeling confident after pushing Grant in Week 10, stunned No. 5 Lincoln of Stockton 25-23...

A pair of undefeated teams mix it up in San Juan today, as the George Mason Patriots try for the upset of the fifth-ranked Villanova Wildcats in the first round of the Puerto Rico Tip-Off. The winner of this game will move on to face either Georgia Tech or Dayton on Friday.

After allowing a go-ahead touchdown pass on a fourth-and-11 play from Villanova's junior quarterback Chris Whitney to senior wide receiver Brandyn Harvey, Richmond had one last chance to overcome a day of disaster. Senior kicker Andrew Howard booted a 35-yard field goal attempt for the win, but the ball eventually spun wide enough to completely entangle the Spiders in the web of a 21-20 Villanova upset.

Villanova survived against a very good Dayton team today. The 21st ranked Flyers beat Georgia Tech yesterday and almost pulled off their second upset of the week. What a shame, I'd love to see Coach Brey...
