Matt Shaw led the way with 16 points Thursday and No. 23 Nevada-Las Vegas scored the first 12 points of the second half to defeat Weber State 72-63.
The Rebels (8-1) won their second in a row since their lone loss of the season to Kansas State.
UNLV owned a five-point halftime lead and expanded that to 49-32 with its big run to open the second period. Weber State came no closer than seven the rest of the way.

Temple rode the long-range shooting of Juan Fernandez, who finished with 33 points, to a 75-65 win Sunday over third-ranked and previously unbeaten Villanova.
Fernandez sank seven 3-pointers, leading the Owls (8-3) to their fourth win in a row.
Ryan Brooks added 20 points for Temple, which trailed by six points at halftime but jumped ahead with an 11-point run early in the second half.

A.J. Slaughter paced Western Kentucky with 27 points Friday and the Hilltoppers held on down the stretch to defeat No. 24 Vanderbilt 76-69.
Slaughter hit a 3-point shot 3:20 into the second half to give Western Kentucky the lead for good at 45-42, but the Hilltoppers led by no more than five until Slaughter made two free throws with 12 seconds left.

JaJuan Johnson and E'Twaun Moore each scored 19 points Wednesday and No. 5 Purdue made 10 3-pointers in running past Valparaiso 86-62.
The Boilermakers have opened the season with eight straight wins, all but one of them by at least 10 points. The exception was a one-point victory over No. 9 Tennessee.

John Robertson scored eight of his 25 points in overtime Thursday, bringing Texas Tech a 99-92 win over 10th-ranked Washington.
Neither side could score during the final 1:21 of the second period and Washington's Elston Turner missed two free throw tries with 5 seconds to go that would have put the Huskies in front.
Texas Tech's Mike Singletary then failed on a 3-point attempt at the buzzer, sending the game into an extra 5-minute period.

Trevon Hughes scored 26 points Wednesday to help Wisconsin open a big lead and the Badgers held on to defeat No. 6 Duke 73-69.
The game was part of the Big Ten-ACC Challenge, in which the Big Ten prevailed 6-5. The Big Ten won the series of games for the first time in 11 tries. Duke had never lost in the Challenge.

E'Twaun Moore's 15 points Saturday helped sixth-ranked Purdue beat Central Michigan 64-38 in an intra-state tussle.
Purdue, playing its first contest since winning the Paradise Jam in the Virgin Islands last weekend, led the grinding, defensive game 29-14 at the half, closing it with an 18-9 run.
