Margot Kidder Joins Rob Zombie’s Halloween sequel - H2

Rob Zombie has revealed on his MySpace page that he has added another cast members to his next horror project, H2.

Margot Kidder (Amityville Horror, Superman, Black Christmas) has joined the cast and will play Laurie Strode’s therapist Barbara Collier. The writer-director also made an announcement that the full title for the film is now H2: The Devil Walks Among Us, but he removed that part from his blog.

It is nice to see Margot getting back into the mix of things I last saw her in an episode of Smallville as Bridget Crosby, the assistant to Christopher Reeves character Dr. Virgil Swan. This isn’t Kidder’s first bout in the horror genre as she was in the original Amityville Horror and Black Christmas. Her casting is definitely and ode for horror fans and geeks alike.

As far as the sequel to Rob Zombies’ Halloween film is concerned, I hate horror films for the pure reason of they are not entertaining and I think they are silly but I am glad to see the rejuvenation of Halloween continue. Also its cool that a Captain Kirk mask is Mike Myers face of choice - hehe.
