Maria Sharapova (born 19 April 1987) is a professional tennis player of Russian descent. She was once ranked #1 in the world and a threat to win any tournament she enters. Maria Sharapova is a two-time major champion with wins at Wimbledon (2004) and the US Open (2006). She is a three-time Grand Slam singles champion. WTA-Kremlin Cup
The strongest-ever field assembles at the Olympic Stadium in the Russian capital this week for the Kremlin Cup, with seven of the Top 10 players on the Sony Ericsson WTA Tour taking part.
