Reminded that he is the Heat's only projected starter to avoid the injury bug this preseason, Mario Chalmers lithely reached down behind him to rap his knuckles on the wooden leg of his chair.  

After an offseason of declaring improvement, the Heat has yet to answer one huge question: Where will it turn when Mario Chalmers struggles?

One game into the preseason -- yes, the preseason -- it's already an issue that apparently is haunting the Heat.

With no real competition to start, Heat point guard Mario Chalmers looks within for motivation as he enters his second season.  

Most basketball fans know Mario Chalmers as the player who hit the clutch shot that forced overtime and eventually led Kansas to the NCAA championship over Memphis in 2008. Now, the 23-year-old point guard is running the Miami Heat's offense. As a rookie last season, Chalmers averaged 10 points and just under five assists a game. He finished fourth in the league in steals with two a game. Chalmers also became the first rookie in franchise...
