Even the biggest names are all like moths to the flame, and for proof look no further than Gretzky’s long-time rival and close friend Mario Lemieux, who was so desperate to sell his interest in the Pittsburgh Penguins at one stage that he had a willing buyer named Jim Balsillie lined up to take the team off his hands. Can you ever really get tired of watching these? I would rank Jagr's a little higher, but there is no doubt that Denis Savard's magic against the Oilers is the best goal ever scored. Mario Lemieux's embarassing of Ray Bourque in the playoffs could have almost cracked the list. But his goal against the North Stars in the 1991 Finals was sweet as can be.
