This is a review of the motion picture score for Point Break by Mark Isham. You might be confused about the 2008 in the title of this review, but this score has never before been released so thanks to those nice chaps at La-La Land who have made this possible. It is of course the score to the legendary surf movie from 1991 starring Keanu Reeves, Patrick Swayze and Gary Busey.     I was super excited over The Mist a few days before it arrived. Mark Isham is my composer of 2007 , and don’t let the title mislead you. It’s a 2007 movie, but this soundtrack was released on January 15 th this year. Mark Isham is probably the most consistent composer in Hollywood, and I have a theory about that.
