Mark Robert Michael Wahlberg born June 5, 1971 is an American actor, film and television producer, and former rapper. He was known as Marky Mark in his earlier years, and became famous for his 1991 debut as a musician with the band Marky Mark and the Funky Bunch. Directed by Paul Thomas Anderson unlike The Big Hit which is a good time popcorn flick Boogie Nights shows Mark Wahlberg’s ability to transform himself into his character. Both films are fine demonstrations of Mark Wahlbergs abilities as an actor.  

Denzel Washington is in talks to star alongside Mark Wahlberg in the Universal action flick 2 Guns, Deadline.com reports. Based on a graphic novel by Stephen Grant, the film concerns a DEA agent and naval intelligence officer who unknowingly embark on simultaneous undercover mob investigations. Baltasar Kormakur, helmer of Wahlberg's recent heist thriller Contraband, is attached to direct.
