Some people were offended by the jokes Alex Borstein made about Marlee Matlin's speaking voice on Sunday's Family Guy special. She says, "It was sick. It was twisted. It was rude... and I was glad to be part of it." "People love [Seth MacFarlane's] stuff. They don't pay him the big bucks for nothing," Matlin wrote in an email. She is coming to DC to push for internet captioning! I do not have all the details yet, but Marlee will be meeting with the Federal Communications Commission. Last night FOX aired Seth & Alex's Almost Live Comedy Show, and they're getting a little heat about it today. They re-enacted a scene from a Family Guy episode that made fun of deaf actress Marlee Matlin. Then they took it a step further and had Alex Borstein imitate Matlin singing a pop song. Marlee Matlin is very upset on Twitter...and for a good reason. This time, Netflix is clearly suffering from an extreme case of Jonah Syndrome. According to Marlee, Netflix is streaming the classic deaf documentary, "Through Deaf Eyes," without closed captions or at least subtitles online!
