A man died after a Saturday afternoon dirt bike crash at a popular motocross park near the Jordan River in northern Salt Lake County, authorities said. Sheriff’s Lt. Don Hutson said investigators with the department’s major accident team are reconstructing what happened to cause the 12:30 p.m. incident at 2800 N. Rose Park Lane (1935 West). A man who police say has an apparent history of meeting young girls on the Internet and engaging in sexual relations with them has been arrested in Salt Lake City. Man pleads guilty in Green Street assault

A man charged with punching a police officer during a Sept. 16 melee at a Salt Lake night spot entered into a plea bargain Tuesday after admitting the crime. Arnold Pikula, 21, pleaded guilty to assault against a police officer, a class A misdemeanor.
