Salt Lake County prosecutors filed a capital murder charge Monday against an Idaho prison inmate, saying DNA evidence has linked him to the 1998 stabbing death of a 10-year-old Utah girl. Shares Nvidia Corp. and Marvell Technology Group Ltd. rose Wednesday as Kaufman Bros. upgraded the chip makers, saying both should benefit from improving demand for personal computers. Nvidia was up 46 cents, or 2.6 percent, to $18.48 in morning trading, while Marvell rose 55 cents, or 2.7 percent, to $20.81. Don’t be alarmed if water you get from the San Francisco Public Utilities Commission looks a little cloudy or milky white beginning today.
Officials with the utility say the phenomenon — which may be noticeable over the next two months to many of their 1.7 million customers in San Mateo, northern Santa Clara and southern Alameda counties —is perfectly harmless.

TAYLORSVILLE — A Millcreek man was arrested Sunday night after allegedly firing multiple rounds at another man who was struck in the leg.
Salt Lake County deputies said there was conflicting information from witnesses, but they believe the victim went to the man’s apartment at the Riverbend complex at 845 W. 3900 South to visit a friend and was shot at multiple times by the other man around 5 p.m.
