SALT LAKE CITY — Four candidates will vie for outgoing Democratic Sen. Scott McCoy’s District 2 seat at a special delegate meeting Saturday.
Arlyn Bradshaw, Ben McAdams, Brian Moss and Mark Towner will compete for the final year of McCoy’s term.
Bradshaw is a former executive director for the state Democrats and currently works for Salt Lake County Council Chairman Joe Hatch.

SALT LAKE CITY — Two Salt Lake County Sheriff’s deputies were dragged by a vehicle when a man tried to flee after being pulled over early Monday, leading to a long chase and search that eventually lead to the man’s arrest.

SALT LAKE CITY — The Salt Lake District Attorney’s Office will seek the death penalty if Donald Eugene Younge is convicted of the stabbing death of Amy Quinton that occurred a decade ago.
Younge, 43, is charged with aggravated murder and nine other felonies in connection with events that occurred at Quinton’s Salt Lake City apartment on Aug. 3, 1999.
He pleaded not guilty Monday to all charges.
