The Rho Delta Lambda Chapter of the Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity will host a Martin Luther King Jr. celebration at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Anderson County Library, 300 N. McDuffie St. in Anderson.  

The Pierce County Library System will be closed on Jan. 18, to observe Martin Luther King Jr. Day. While the Library is closed, customers may continue to access free services online and download audio and e-book and use e-sources with subscription magazines, personal investment information, car repair manuals and more at www.piercecountylibrary.org [...]  

Gustavus Adolphus College will celebrate Martin Luther King Day on Monday, Jan. 18 by welcoming author, minister, civil rights movement leader, and friend of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., the Rev. C.T. Vivian to campus.

Tickets are now available for the 12th Annual Martin Luther King Jr. Birthday Breakfast. The breakfast, sponsored by the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Center for Human Rights, Inc., will be held from 8 to 10 a.m. Monday, Jan. 18, at the Virginia University of Lynchburg.
