We've all heard that Sarah Palin was the 1st runner up in the Miss Alaska beauty pageant in 1984. Well I was curious as to who Miss Alaska 1984 was. Turns out it was Miss Maryline Blackburn, backrow third from left. Miss Palin is in front row, second from left. Born in Europe, Miss Blackburn spent her formative years in Fairbanks, Alaska. Ms. Maryline Blackburn competed against Sarah Palin in the 1984 Miss Alaska competition and won. John McCain announced his choice to have the Governor of Alaska, Sarah Palin, serve as his running mate. Within minutes, controversy began, and Palin’s personal life was thrown into the limelight – as well as the rest of her family. However, with so much media attention on Palin’s personal life, it is hard to get a clear view of her position on more important issues, like taxes. To help the readers of my blog make an educated decision come this election ... Read Full Story

Former Alaska GOP Gov. Sarah Palin on Wednesday did not rule out running for president alongside Fox News host Glenn Beck in 2012. Palin was asked during an interview with Fox News’s “Fox & Friends” about the chances that she “would run on a ticket with Fox’s own Glenn Beck,” as the conservative outlet Newsmax reported might be a possibility in 2012. “I saw that, I saw that; he probably got a kick out of that,” Palin said. “It was just a hoot...
