Beauty Trend: Is White Eyeliner Making a Comeback?

Monk's mod makeup look.This week, Australian supermodel Sophie Monk attended Who magazine's sexiest people party wearing a sweet red party dress, diamond accessories, and a whole lot of white eyeliner.
I've heard that light, shimmery eyeliner shades on the lower lids and inner eye can help to make eyes appear brighter, but Sophie's bright white shade actually makes her look the slightest bit funny, especially in non-closeup shots. It's like the anti-racoon eye.
If this look interests you, I might suggest using it in concert with another color to make it look a little less extreme, or keeping it solely on the lower lid with a darker shade on the upper lid. A pearlier shade - or even one closer to pink, like Stila's "Kitten"" smudge pot, may help to achieve a more natural look.
