Matt Damon is an Academy Award winning actor and screen-writer. Along with best friend Ben Affleck, Damon acquired fame through their first film Good Will Hunting, which the duo both wrote and starred in. Since then, Damon has been in a number of successful roles, including the Bourne and Oceans film series.
In December of 2005, he married his wife, Luciana, the couple currently has two daughters together, and share a daughter from Luciana's previous marriage.

IN the early days of the latest Star Trek film, before the cast was announced, rumours online claimed Bourne franchise star Matt Damon had been offered a part.
Reports suggested Damon was asked to play Captain James T Kirk, a part that eventually went to Chris Pine.
Damon himself denied this and dismissed it as internet speculation.
But Star Trek director JJ Abrams has now admitted that he had indeed approached the actor.

Hollywood actor Matt Damon has revealed that he was not at all surprised to discover that he is related to his best friend Ben Affleck.
The New England Historic Genealogical Society recently revealed that a study of Damon and Affleck’s family trees showed the pair are 10th cousins once removed.
