The Geoffrey Pope experience is no more. Pope, in his second year with 12 career games under his belt, was signed to the Philadelphia Eagles' 53-man roster, writes Jason at Bleeding Green Nation. Wide receiver DeSean Jackson and three other Philadelphia Eagles have been ruled out of Sunday's game against the Atlanta Falcons. Jackson, who leads the Eagles with eight touchdowns this season, suffered a concussion in last week's win over the Washington Redskins. "He felt pretty good today, but he's not all the way back yet," Eagles coach Andy Reid said.  

The Philadelphia Eagles have signed wide receiver Jordan Norwood off their practice squad and released cornerback Ramzee Robinson. Norwood joined the team's practice squad Sept. 23. He originally signed as a rookie free agent with Cleveland after four seasons at Penn State. Norwood gives the Eagles depth if wideout DeSean Jackson can't play against Atlanta on Sunday because of a concussion.  

Superman has become the handyman. Michael Vick produced plenty of dazzling plays with the Atlanta Falcons. He's still waiting to do something special for the Philadelphia Eagles. Vick's return to the NFL following a two-year absence has mostly been a dud. Except for a 34-yard run two weeks ago at Chicago, Vick hasn't done anything noteworthy in his first nine games.  

I was noticing our WR during the Redskins game. Is it just me or are they collectively making 2-4 tough catches each game now? Maclin and Avant each had at least one good catch either in traffic or over the shoulder dancing down the sideline. Such a nice change of pace from a couple years back. I would argue this is the Eagles key area of strength right now.  

Tight end Brent Celek has signed a six-year contract extension with the Philadelphia Eagles. The deal was announced Tuesday and runs through the 2016 season. Terms weren't immediately available. Celek has emerged as one of the top players at his position in his first full season as a starter. He's tied for seventh in receptions (54), fifth in yards (601), and tied for fourth in touchdowns (5)...  

This game will be decided by who's not on the field.Falcons are missing their starting QB and RB. Eagles are missing their primary playmaker DeSean JacksonCan McNabb make it 3 straight in 4th quarter comebacks? Will he have to?The key for this game will be who wins the turnover battle. Our defense needs to collect a bunch of them (Chris Redmond is primarily involved here) and our offense needs to grind out a decent game.  

The Atlanta Falcons have been defeated just once in their last 13 games at the Georgia Dome, and the last time they lost to an NFC team at home was in 2007. Eagles offensive coordinator Marty Mornhinweg thinks he knows why. "Crowd noise is a big factor," said Mornhinweg, whose 7-4 team visits the Falcons on Sunday.
