KIHEI - A portion of South Kihei Road was closed near the Mana Kai Maui Resort for nearly 8¢ hours Tuesday morning while crews replaced a utility pole that was hit by a car in the early-morning hours, police said.
Traffic was rerouted through residential areas until the road was reopened around 11:30 a.m., police said. By early afternoon, power was restored to about 1,000 Maui Electric Co.
