Nov. 18 (Bloomberg) -- Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa talks with Bloomberg's Julie Hyman about how the city can speed up a 30-year transportation spending plan by 20 years with the help from the federal government. Voters have approved a 1/2-cent increase in sales taxes to fund transportation programs including a subway extension, and a partnership with the federal government may allow the city to complete the work sooner, he said.
