The waning economy evidently has caused governments to raise taxes and give it's workers furlough days to help balance the budget. Hmmmm. Maybe they should consider reevaluating current spending. For this post I will address a situation close to my heart. The State of Maryland government. I have a working knowledge of this as  I worked for the State for 18 years. I made an adequate income. While not comparable to the private sector. I didn't mind taking my furlough days. I was doing my part. I didn't mind not receiving my guaranteed step increases, or cost of living increases. by Jim Lagnese Maryland officially joined Obama's Union of Socialism Republics when Gov. Martin O'Malley threatened to use eminent domain against a company that owns Pimlico race track, which hosts the Preakness. Deval Patrick of Massachusetts, and New Jersey's John Cornine, Maryland Governor Martin O'Malley ranks right up there as one of the Nation's leading Socialist governors. O'Malley is a consistent proponent of tax increases, and greater spending on social welfare programs and eduction. He even once called Republican President George Bush a "9/11 Terrorist," for proposing limited spending cuts. Now Maryland's Marxist Governor is proposing to end deregulation of energy providers in the State. From the DC Examiner: O'Malley calls for 'Rational Re-regulation' ... Read Full Story

Posted by Cato September 10, 2008 Maryland Gov. Martin O’Malley sure has been a boon to the Maryland economy. Under his exemplary stewardship, over 2,500 employers have shut down or left the People’s Republic. Jobs Lost Under Martin O’Malley Of course O’Malley will claim that it’s all because of those evil Republicans - George Bush and Bob Ehrlich. Democrats only take responsibility for good news. graphic courtesy of Ted Pilbin Sphere: Related Content Economics , Fiscal Policy , Maryland , Maryland Politics , Taxes If you enjoyed this post, please consider to leave a comment or subscribe to the feed and get future articles ...
