The San Francisco 49ers have unveiled design details on their proposed $937 million stadium south of San Francisco that would seat 68,500 and include solar panels and a green roof, as they move forward with plans to relocate to the South Bay city of Santa Clara. Four children and two adults were shot dead and a woman was clinging to life in a hospital, after what police said was an apparent murder-suicide at a home in an upscale Silicon Valley neighborhood, police said Monday. Vandals severed eight fiber optic cables early Thursday in San Jose and another nearby town, leaving thousands of people without cell phone, Internet and landline service, officials said. San Jose police said there was evidence that someone removed a manhole cover and severed four fiber optic cables.
