At last the mighty McDonald’s has a serious rival. According to recent survey the British pub chain JW Wetherspoon is catching up with 38% of eaters visiting their outlets last year compared with 48% grabbing a Big Mac or some other McD offering! This is the first time McDonalds has had a real challenger, and considering Wetherspoon’s modest number of branches compared to Ronald’s thousands, it’s not a threat to be taken likely.
