Megan Fox on Angelina Jolie, Men's Magazines, and Sacrificial Lambs

Megan Fox seems like she's in a little bit of a predicament. She talks a big game when it comes to saying things like she's "more comfortable" kissing girls, and thinks violence is "sexy," but now she said all that running her mouth has landed her labels like "slut" and other choice words. It's just her "character" talking, guys! Right?

The 23-year-old actress said to The New York Times Magazine (via Us magazine): "There's something so ridiculous about always being in your underwear in [men's] magazines, and you know the interview is going to run opposite those pictures. So, there's a character that talks to all of them."

Megan says her character "isn't fully fleshed out -- she doesn't have her own name -- but she shows up to do men's-magazine interviews."

So, let's get this straight, the real Megan Fox doesn't do, or think, the things the "character" Megan Fox says in interviews? Oh man, now we're really confused. Who's talking when she does women's magazine interviews?

And before we can wrap our head around who she really is, the star's shutting down buzz that she's just like the blood-toting Angelina Jolie of the past: "She's so serious and stoic," she said. "I'm the opposite. When I do interviews, I say things that I think are hysterical. But because we live in a world of sound bites, you're not allowed to have a sense of humor. Sarcasm doesn’t translate in print at all. And neither does self-deprecating humor. I'm not a tigress like Angelina. Of course, people want me to be. But I want to be the contradiction of that."

In summary, the Transformers star has this to say about her year in the spotlight: "I’ve learned that being a celebrity is like being a sacrificial lamb. At some point, no matter how high the pedestal that they put you on, they’re going to tear you down. And I created a character as an offering for the sacrifice." Oh dear.

And, to really boggle your mind: "I do live in a glass box. And I am on display for men to pay to look at me. And that bothers me. I don’t want to live that character."

She claims she's going to "pull back a little bit now," so we'd really like to get our hands on her New Year's resolution's list.
