Meghan McCain (born October 23, 1984) is an American columnist and the daughter of U.S. Senator John McCain and Cindy Hensley McCain. She garnered press attention in 2007 for her blog, McCain Blogette, which she used to document life on the campaign trail. In 2009, she began contributing to The Daily Beast.

"The election killed my personal life," said Meghan McCain, daughter of Sen. John McCain, in The Daily Beast. "I am not only turned off by people who voted for Barack Obama, but I am also turned off by people who voted for my dad—or, more so, obsessive supporters of my dad." It's impossible to keep politics out of relationships when nobody can shut up about the campaign.
Lest you think this creates an opening for lovestruck Naderites and Ron Paul supporters, said Tommy Christopher in AOL News, Meghan says that in the politically obsessed post-election world, apathy is the best aphrodisiac. Some of her dating experiences sound downright "creepy"—like the fan of her mother's who said Meghan could be "his Cindy."
Meghan McCain is sharing too much, said Jason Linkins in The Huffington Post. "The piece begins: 'The election killed my personal life,' and it ends, 'So to all the fathers out there: If you want your daughters to be single in her 20s, I can say this—run for president.' There's no need to read between those lines."
