You Better Be Good
We took the grandkids, ‘Lil Moomette (3) and Slugger (16 months) to see Santa at Wickham Park in Manchester, Connecticut on Sunday.
It’s so magical there, and my most favorite place to visit! It’s not commercialized, like the shopping malls. The park, high up on a hill overlooking Hartford, is beautiful in winter – all decked out with colored lights, and we went when the sun was starting to set!
Santa’s helpers, the elves were there, along with train... Read Full Story
Winter Wonderland
I enjoy taking pictures of old historic barns. Many have been restored to their original splendor. Some are re-purposed as artist lofts or home offices.
This was taken in New Hartford, Connecticut on our way out to a surprise birthday party for a family gathering.

Bringing Home the Tree
Our family has had a real tree for over 30+ years. When the girls were little we would visit various Christmas Tree Farms in Connecticut and chop our own. My charming son-in-law, originally from Vermont, is a traditionalist, and grew up with real Vermont Balsams and Firs! It’s nice to see my oldest daughter and her family carrying on the tradition!

New England
Wild turkeys are making a comeback in parts of New England. These wild turkeys were frequent daily visitors in my BFF’s backyard and front yard in New Hampshire! It was so nice to wake up every morning and see nature outside rather than a neighbor’s house!

For me, Sunday’s are a day for catching up on some: housework, blog related-tasks and figuring out what I’m going to do in the coming week. I thought it would also be a nice idea to recap a little of what’s been going on in my life and on my blog. If you’d like to join in on this meme, I encourage you to do so. :) It’s a nice way to let others know what you’ve been up to, where you’ve been (on the Internet or in “real” life) and help us keep track of everything that’s going on. Only in New England can you find an all-in-one convenience stop. This photo was taken outside of Lebanon on a trip to visit a friend of mine! She told me it was a must to stop and see – that people from all over the country stop here!
