Breast cancer - The Common Causes
The breasts have an important meaning for females. Those women who have breast cancer easily get emotional and physical trauma due to the possibility of losing this vital part of the body is very high severerly erodes the image of a woman. World statistics show that breast cancer affects about one in 12 women. Although rare, the most threatening disease also affects men as well, but the percentage drops to 1% of all cases of breast cancer.
Many factors regarding the cause of breast cancer, such as using fasteners under wires, but the real causes of breast cancer remains unknown. Common factors that cause breast cancer are listed below.
Family history.
People with relatives of breast cancer are at high risk for breast cancer. The risk is increased four times in two first degree relatives are affected.
The use of oral contraceptives and hormone replacement therapies.
Prolonged use of birth control pills and hormone replacement therapy (HRT) is linked to increased breast cancer risk by 1.2 and 1.3 times respectively. This is because the hormone estrogen is believed to stimulate the growth of breast cancer cells.
Diet and obesity
Excessive consumption of saturated fats may increase the risk of breast cancer. Obesity has been found to be a risk of breast cancer studies, especially for women after menopause. Although the ovaries produce most estrogen, fat tissue produces a small amount of estrogen. Having more fat tissue can increase estrogen levels and increase your chance of developing breast cancer.
Other risk factors are nulliparity or not have children, abortion of first pregnancy, early onset of menstruation (before 12) and late menopause (after 55).
