Konami plans to celebrate the 20-year anniversary of the Metal Gear game series by re-releasing all of the Metal gear game titles.

However, Metal Gear 4 has been delayed until at the earliest spring 2008.

For PSP fans, Metal Gear Solid: Portable Ops is the big hit. But a re-release of Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty or Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater could be cool.

One print at Hachimaki didn’t keep us watchful at all for a law 3D Dot Game Heroes chronicle of Metal Gear Solid 4 ’s Old Snake. The game isn’t even strictly released in Japan yet! But this artist got reason of a pre-street-dated duplicate and set immediately to work on an Old Snake avatar in the game’s impression editor. Resumeplay: "Despite having no budget aside what they had in their own pockets, trust me when I say that Hive Division have created a movie that will probably give whatever Sony can cook up a run for it’s money. Makes you wonder if maybe fans should be trusted with game movies…except Uwe Boll of course…I wouldn’t trust that man with my spare change let alone Metal Gear. Read Full Story

Gaming or Cinematic Excellence? By far, this movi--err, I mean game, has some of the best cut scenes I've ever seen in a game. Kojima, the creator/director of the Metal Gear Series goes beyond delivering a traditional action shoot-em-up and offers up a truly interactive cinematic experience, with some truly original gameplay to boot. In a sense, this game is really an "interactive movie" where parts of it, you control the character (although your actions largely have little outcome in the plot). On your first play-through, you will be immersed in the plot line and the execellent cinematic sequences. You'll find that you're often ... Read Full Story

PS3's killer app is here Hideo Kojima has done it again. MGS4 is the most detailed, convincing, and well-researched game I have ever played. It offers a compelling and imaginative glimpse into the future of high-tech warfare, a nuanced, intelligent storyline, vastly improved gameplay, and incredible graphics. The metal gear franchise has always pushed the boundaries of what a game could be, and challenged the preconceptions of the audience. MGS4 starts out with, of all things, a short live action film about marine fauna. The in-game store discounts weapons (in real time) on wednesdays and sundays. These are just a few examples, but there ... Read Full Story

as a collectors item, just about there As far as value goes, this is superb. These games are really worth so much more than other games on the market as far as production value and depth go. They are absolutely timeless. Content-wise, this is certainly five stars. You may be interested to know about this set however... The games are not individually shrink wrapped. In fact, the shrink wrap didn't even cover the whole box set and there's an opening on the side which the games "bindings" are. I could almost slip out the games without messing with the shrink wrap at all. Also, ... Read Full Story

Konami is the latest Japanese publisher to reveal a weaker fiscal half year, thanks to poor comparisons with Metal Gear Solid 4's 2008 launch period. The company says its fiscal half-year sales and profits are down due to a weak release slate, following a forecast reduction by Square Enix and warnings from Nintendo of its first annual profit decline in six years. In the six months ending in September 2009, Konami saw sales fall 22.5 ...
