However, Metal Gear 4 has been delayed until at the earliest spring 2008.
For PSP fans, Metal Gear Solid: Portable Ops is the big hit. But a re-release of Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty or Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater could be cool.

I adore Metal Gear Solid. I was originally hooked by MGS2 on the Xbox, and have played every MGS I could get my hands on since. MGS3 is the reason I bought a PS2. MGS4 is the reason I bought a PS3.
That being said, Portable Ops had such horribly broken controls, and so many other issues and annoyances, that I am unable to get even slightly excited about Peace Walker. I'd rather see another Metal Gear Acid, to be honest. Maybe the third...

After a few months of producer Hideo Kojima hemming and hawing, Konami formally announced a firm release date for Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker.

The demo will be available on the PSN Store and Konami.com giving you four missions to go through. It seems there is always a major boost in console sales every time a big release comes out.
I wonder if it's the same guy. Each time a big release comes out he buys a system bundle, beats the game, and then trades everything back in and waits for the next big release a few years later.
Like he bought a PS3 for Metal Gear Solid 4. But once he beat it, he was like "I don't need this thing
[PS3] anymore." And goes trades it all in a week...
