ART DECO DISTRICT 30th ANNIVERSARY, Thursday, May 14

Miami Design Preservation League founders fought against all odds to protect Miami Beach's Art Deco architecture from bulldozers and demolition. Thanks to their vision, the Miami Beach Architectural Historic District (known as the "Art Deco Historic District") was entered into the National Register of Historic Places in May of 1979. Since then, every element of South Beach's renaissance can be traced back to this defining moment.

Join us to celebrate this historic occasion, as MDPL initiates a year-long series of events that celebrate and explore this legacy.
