Michael Devlin pleads not guilty

Michael Devlin, 41, is charged with abducting Ben Ownby after the boy stepped off a school bus earlier this month. But Michael Devlin is pleading "Not Guilty" to the charges. His case is all over the news. Devlin’s attorneys told reporters today that they want the case moved out of Franklin County. “There’s no way we can get a fair trial in this county with the amount of attention it’s gotten,” defense attorney Michael Kielty said. Shawn Hornbeck's Harrowing Tale of Abuse As Kidnap Victim

Shawn Hornbeck has endured what no child should ever have to experience. In October 2002, Hornbeck was kidnapped at age 11 and suffered unspeakable abuses at the hands of his abductor, Michael Devlin , until he was rescued by FBI agents in January 2007. “Nobody knows the real story except for me,” says Hornbeck, 17. “There wasn’t a day when I didn’t think he was just gonna kill me…[sometimes] it seemed I was better off dead than living through that.” Read more.
