Michael Irvin Countersues Rape Accuser for $100 Million
Former Dallas Cowboys star Michael Irvin has countersued the anonymous woman who is claiming that he sexually assaulted her two years ago in a Florida hotel.
Former Dallas Cowboys star Michael Irvin has countersued the anonymous woman who is claiming that he sexually assaulted her two years ago in a Florida hotel. (Getty Images)The woman, indentified only as "Jane Doe," filed the original lawsuit on Thursday, February 4, 2010. She claims in the lawsuit that Irvin and another man assaulted her in July of 2007, while at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino.
The incident was reported to police, but the woman later signed a waiver of prosecution. Irvin claims the suit is a extortion attempt, and has filed a $100 million countersuit.
"This is nothing more than a thinly veiled effort to carry out Plaintiff's extortion plot while capitalizing on the media circus that is Super Bowl weekend," said Irvin's lawsuit
