Madalyn Murray O'Hair v. Michael Newdow

By lindseyshuman on  From americancreation.blogspot.com
Michael Newdow, the atheist who got the 9th Circuit to scrap "under God" from the Pledge of Allegiance, has been compared to a modern day Madalyn Murray O'Hair; but I think the comparison is inapt. They do have similarities. Obviously their atheist activism. Plus both are (were) intelligent, capable of well arguing their case. By Revelation1217 on  From themoralcollapseofamerica.blogspot.com
A broad coalition of atheists and humanists has filed a lawsuit to remove the words "so help me God" from the end of Barack Obama's oath of office at the inauguration. CNN is also reporting that the lawsuit seeks to prevent Rev. Rick Warren and Rev. Joseph Lowery from delivering an invocation and a benediction at the ceremony. The driving force behind this lawsuit is atheist activist Michael Newdow. Newdow filed similar suits over inauguration ceremonies in 2001 and 2005 that were ultimately...Read Full Story
