Today, the Flyers announced that they have invited former Capitals center Michael Nylander to training camp on a tryout contract. Nylander, who turns 39 on October 3rd, has played with Jaromir Jagr twice in the past. Nylander and Jagr played very well together during their time together as parts of both the New York Rangers and Washington Capitals, and that seems to be the reason that Paul Holmgren extended this offer to Michael.
