Michael Phelps (born June 30, 1985) is the most successful Olympic athlete. After the 2008 Beijing Olympics the swimmer walked away with a total of 8 gold medals, breaking the previous record held by swimmer Mark Spitz. In 2009, Phelps was photographed smoking from a bong and the photo was released to the tabloids. I’ve been swimming for a couple of summers now, working ardently on my technique and cardio, and I’m still incredibly slow. So slow, in fact, that Michael Phelps could swim 500 m, get out of the water, order a hamburger, and read the morning news before I cross the same distance.
Speed putting, however, is another matter. Not that I, personally, would be any better at it, but perhaps some of you could beat Phelps in that particular discipline...
