Vick returns to NFL practice for first time
Michael Vick is on an NFL practice field for the first time since serving his prison sentence.
Vick ran the scout team offense in Saturday morning's walkthrough practice with the Philadelphia Eagles. He's expected to do more when the team returns to the field in the afternoon.
A three-time Pro Bowl pick during six seasons with the Atlanta Falcons, Vick served 18 months in federal prison for running a dogfighting ring and was reinstated last month by the NFL after being out of action since 2006.
He signed a one-year deal with the Eagles on Thursday for $1.6 million with a team option for a second year at $5.2 million.
Eagles coach Andy Reid says Vick definitely is in shape enough to handle practice and the team will bring him along accordingly.
