The investigation lead to his suspension, investigation into the ring and eventually a 23 month prison stay. Vick's scheduled release form prison is in May 2009 and it's unsure if he will be able to regain his status as one of the NFL's top quarterbacks. He has also managed to accrue a great deal of debt. What Michael Vick admitted to doing to dogs in 2007 was heinous and reprehensible. He will forever be labeled as a dog killer and must live the rest of his life with an irreparable reputation.
But the fact is that Vick did 18 months in prison for his sins and is again a citizen of the NFL.
