Sean Connery thanks language difference for sustained marriage

London, Jan 5  :  Former James Bond Sir Sean Connery credits the success of his 32-year-long happy marriage to his inability to speak the same language as his wife.

Connery married French artist Micheline Roquebrune in 1975 despite the fact he doesn’t speak her native language. He is convinced that this is the reason the pair has enjoyed such a lengthy union, reports contactmusic.com.

‘We’re total opposites - that’s what has kept us together all these years. I don’t speak a word of French but often think that what should be a handicap is actually a godsend,’ he said.
