It was announced today that after 15 years, "Mighty Morphin Power Rangers" would no longer be producing new episodes. While this is definitely sad news for fans of bad special effects and repurposed Japanese footage, it's also weird because I had no idea this show was still on. Obviously I left the target demo for shows like this a long time ago -- although I still watch old school "X-Men" cartoons whenever possible -- I have a pretty good radar for stuff like this. Haaretz reports that Israeli-American media mogul, Haim Saban , is seeking a 50% stake in Al Jazeera. This is one strange story. Skylar Deleon was a child actor (14-16-years old) from 1993-1995 when he starred in the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers Series. The MMPR was a live-action TV series in America that grew out of the Japanaese Super Sentai franchise - Kyōryū Sentai Zyuranger . The series changed its cast and plot every year from 1996, giving birth to the Power Rangers franchise, and continues to this day. The Mighty Morphin Rangers was created for the American market as a take off of the 16th installment of the Japanese Super Sentai franchise - Kyoro Sentai Zyuranger. 2. If I didn't think the entire Savannah city council was trapped inside the movie Brazil already, I would think they were all auditioning for a Monty Python version of the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers . I know, I know, Estupido Savannah and others see the whole Restaurant To Bar alchemy in a pretty straightforward way. It's a restaurant until its not. When its not--meaning when the kitchen shuts down and there's a cover charge, a band, wrist bracelets to distinguish the under 21 set--then that restaurant/bar is out of compliance.
