ORLANDO, Florida (Reuters) - The Orlando Magic sprinted to the finish line with a late run to turn back the Indiana Pacers 106-98 on Monday. Vince Carter scored a game-high 28 points while Dwight Howard powered his way to 21 points and 23 rebounds for the Magic, who used a 12-2 spurt in the last few minutes to run away with what had been a close contest. Trailing 96-94 with 4:58 left, Orlando scored 10 straight points over the next four minutes to halt a stretch of two straight losses and improve to 18-6 on the season. Looking for their third straight win, the ... Read Full Story

Poor Gilbert Arenas. He has arguably his best game of the season yet somehow managed to choke at the free throw line late in the fourth quarter during the Indiana Pacers-Washington Wizardsgame that took place Saturday night at Verizon Center. The point guard had a chance to seal the win for the Wizards with 6.6 seconds left in the game, but missed both free throws. But the Pacers’ Mike Dunleavy calmly drained a pair of free throws with just one-tenth of a second remaining, helping Indiana edge Washington 114-113. The first quarter was a track meet of sorts as both teams shot very well; ... Read Full Story

It is nice to know that the Utah Jazz have some offensive options, although you wouldn’t know it by the different number of players that contribute, day-in and day-out. Yet against the Indiana Pacers on Friday night, the Jazz’ hero would be Carlos Boozer as he would drain 35 points, leading Utah to the 96-87 win over Indiana at Energy Solutions Arena. The Jazz would get hot early on as they managed to get a 19-point lead with 1 minute left in the first quarter, capped by a Paul Millsap free throw; Dunleavy would make a free throw with 3:23 left in the first ... Monday night’s game between the Indiana Pacers and Golden State Warriors at Oracle Arena was a homecoming of sorts for Pacers forward Mike Dunleavy as he played for the Warriors during his first four seasons in the NBA. Warriors coach Keith Smart has his squad playing inspired ball as of late with this game being no different; Monta Ellis exploded for 45 points while Golden State shot a sizzling 56.3% from floor, easily dismantling Indiana 126-107. Ellis scored the Warriors’ final 16 points of the first quarter but the Pacers got a boost from Dahntay Jones and Danny Granger who combined for 13 points, ... Read Full Story

Help might be coming soon for the Indiana Pacers . Mike Dunleavy Jr. who had surgery last spring to remove a bone spur in his right knee has been cleared by doctors to play. It is doubtful Dunleavy will be thrown back into the lineup in the next few weeks as he is trying to get back into game shape, but his return will be a lot sooner than originally anticipated. This is definitely good news for the 5-6 Pacers, who are in need of another scoring option, particularly one on the perimeter. Read Full Story
