John Farrell came an infield single short of a no-hitter, settling for a one-hit shutout as Andover Legion bested North Andover 4-0 in eight innings.
Farrell struck out 13 and retired the final 14 batters after North Andover star Ryan Sifferlen singled in the fifth. Mike Taylor, Zach Burdeau and Vince Bellino each drove in a run, and John Hennessy took home on a double steal in Post 8's big eighth.
